Miss Hopkins County Crowned
HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (7/29/15) — The 60th Annual Miss Hopkins County Fair Pageant began with thunder and lightning as 12 beauties lit up the stage on Tuesday evening.
The Ballard Center was full of anticipation and excitement as the crowd watched the ladies strut in to the lively beat of “Welcome to New York,” the theme for the evening.
The contestants were judged in sportswear, swimsuit, interview and evening gown with the swimsuit category closed to the public and the interviews completed prior to the sportswear and evening gown competition.
Brianna Robinson was crowned 2015 Miss Hopkins County Fair Pageant and will represent Hopkins County in Louisville in January at the Kentucky State Fair Pageant.
She is the daughter of Michael and Amanda Robinson and sponsored by Johnson Sales and Service. Robinson, 19, is attending Murray State University-Madisonville Campus.
She is the first to win all three pageants - Miss Pre-Teen Hopkins County, Miss Teen Hopkins County and Miss Hopkins County.
First runner-up was Aubree Dexter with Katelyn P’Pool as second. The 2015 Miss Congeniality award went to Alyssa Smith.
Pageant coordinators were Misty Thomison and Laura McFee. The master of ceremonies was Michael Hunt with scoring by Berry & Kington.
A special thank you was given to the Hopkins County – Madisonville Fair Board and to Mark of Distinction for stage décor.
Sponsors for the event were First United Bank, Daymar College, Buds & Bows and Blades Salon and Day Spa.
