Kylee Knight Crowned Miss Hopkins County Fair

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (07/25/2017) — The 62nd Annual Miss Hopkins County Fair Pageant featured nine beauties competing for this year’s crown.

Kylee Knight won the 2017 Miss Hopkins County Fair title tonight at Ballard Convention Center in Madisonville. She will represent Hopkins County in Louisville at January’s Kentucky County Fair Pageant.

Knight, 18, is the daughter of Chris and Debbie Knight. She is a University of Kentucky student, with plans to become a nurse practitioner. Her hobbies include mission work, theater, track, cross-county and reading.

First Runner-up was Katelyn P’Pool. Kayleigh Ferrell was second runner-up.

Ferrell was also named Miss Congeniality.

The contestants were judged in formal wear, bathing suit and interview.

Pageant Coordinators were Pam Todd and Tina Peyton. Master of Ceremonies, Bill Young served as Master of Ceremonies, and Rocky Gamblin handled score sheets.

Appreciation was given to Hopkins County-Madisonville Fair Board, Country Cupboard, Kathy Carver, Barbara Yonts Photography, Clements Jewelers, and Kellie Heady Wedding Planning and Mark of Distinction for stage décor.

Sponsors were First United Bank, Blades Salon and Day Spa. Judges were Carol Jagers, Elaine Preston and Grace Dunagan.
