2020 Fair Cancellation Press Release

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic it is the decision of the Hopkins County-Madisonville Fair Board that there will not be the traditional Hopkins County-Madisonville Fair in 2020. Instead a three-day Agricultural Fair is planned for the last week of July 2020 with Hopkins County Farm Bureau Federation sponsoring the event. By having the three-day Agricultural Fair, this will allow for part of the fair to continue while adhering to current CDC guidelines. The Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horseshows is moving forward with plans for the Kentucky State Pre-teen, Teen and Miss Pageants. Once guidelines have been established the Hopkins County-Madisonville Fair will provide these same pageant opportunities locally.

The Hopkins County-Madisonville Fair has been an essential family-oriented community and agricultural event in Western Kentucky for over 100 years.
